What Lies Beneath
14 April - 20 April 2020

“Mental processes are, for the most part, unconscious. The conscious is only the tip of an iceberg, a small island of consciousness in the vast ocean of the unconscious.”
Sigmund Freud.

According to Freud, the unconscious is a vast unexplored space where all our traumas, repressed thoughts and impulses are located. What Lies Beneath is an attempt to visualize all those hidden thoughts, desires, fears, insecurities and anxieties, that are beneath the surface, within the unconscious mind. Childhood emotional wounds that we carry with us into adulthood and they affect our behaviour today.
