It is in this part of the project where both paths converge and the plurality that exists in Bolivian society bursts into the personal sphere. These photographs document Marisol Mendez's lineage and show women in her family throughout history.

The decision to include them was a way of framing her heritage and personal history in relation to the topics discussed. At the same time she questions the hierarchies we assign to images. In addition, her mother plays a fundamental role as she was an active and constant support during all stages of MADRE.
