Asia Bistro might be one of the most recognisable series from Hiền Hoàng. In them, she explores her identity as a Vietnamese woman living abroad, drawing on and exposing stereotypes to reflect on her own identity. Hiền found in food a powerful metaphor to challenge these stereotypes that often reduce entire cultures to simplistic narratives.
